There will be a service to rededicate the Andover War Memorial on Saturday 7th February at 2.45pm. This short service will mark the unveiling of the name  Reginald Bashford Robbins which will be inscribed upon the Memorial. This solder’s name appeared on the original roll of honour at the unveiling ceremony in May 1920. But for reasons unknown his name  was never added. research undertaken has uncovered no reason for this omission.

The service is timed to coincide with the date of Reginald Robbins death which was 3.20pm on the 7th February 1920. The service will be led by the Reverend Canon John Harkin, of St Mary’s church, Andover. The service will take  the format of the original service of commemoration.
